The Russians have complicated the process of obtaining visas for work in the United States

In particular, we are talking about difficulties in obtaining visas, said Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Evgeny Ivanov.

According to him, Washington complicates the procedure for obtaining visas for ordinary passports to Russian employees of contracting institutions that serve foreign agencies in Russia.

As an example, Ivanov cited computer specialists: Russian diplomatic missions cannot fix the problem, because the Americans do not issue documents to employees. He stated that such employees "are not carriers of classified information."

In addition, Russians in the UK and Canada have difficulties in obtaining work visas.

“The current situation, which is of a systemic nature, leads to a violation of the deadline for the execution of state contracts, and in some cases jeopardizes the normal functioning of Russian foreign agencies,” Ivanov emphasized.

He added that due to problems with visas, the departments of the Russian Foreign Ministry lacked employees.

• February 1, 2020 US President Donald Trump limited visa issuance citizens of six countries, including Kyrgyzstan. Eritrea, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania also fell under restrictions.
