Vladimir Zelensky, a presidential candidate of Ukraine, considers Russian President Vladimir Putin to be an enemy.

He stated this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, noting that he advocates a new humanitarian policy regarding Donbass, which is temporarily uncontrolled by the authorities.

When asked by a journalist whether Putin is his enemy, Zelensky replied: “Of course.”

According to him, the currently occupied areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions should not have any special status. In addition, it excludes the adoption of a law that would guarantee an amnesty for terrorists.

“This is generally our big story, and it will take us a long time to get out of this criminal situation. This is where, perhaps, the information war will help us. I really hope to return these people with information to the state that Ukraine needs them just as Ukraine needs them, and that they are the same Ukrainians. But a lot of humanitarian steps will need to be taken. A lot of things,” Zelensky noted.

In his opinion, the residents of the occupied Donbass and the rest of Ukraine are divided by the information wall.

“What our politicians say: build a wall and so on. It was built, but not with bricks. It was lined up even worse. There seems to be no wall, but it is informationally scary. These people are in those territories who do not receive pensions... And the fact that we don’t talk to them is the worst thing,” Zelensky emphasized.
