How Poroshenko influenced the high rating Zelensky

The head of the sociological group "Rating" Alexey Antipovich said this at a briefing on April 11, writes "Ukrainian Truth«.

“We asked Zelensky voters: when voting for Zelensky, are you voting for the candidate himself or rather against Petro Poroshenko? We found that 41% of Vladimir Zelensky’s voters are more likely to vote against Petro Poroshenko than for Zelensky,” Antipovich explained.

At the same time, 57% of Zelensky’s voters answered that they would vote more for Zelensky than against Poroshenko.

But 75% of voters who are ready to support Poroshenko in the second round, rather vote for him. Only 22% of respondents stated that they are voting, rather, against Zelensky.

At the same time, compared to February 2019, the number of those who will support Poroshenko due to disagreement with Zelensky has almost doubled - from 12% to 22%.

The number of voters “against Poroshenko” increased from 33% to 41%.

When asked whether there are any chances for Poroshenko to win, sociologists replied that there are always chances, but the 50 numbers on 20, 70 on 30 are fairly straightforward.

Also, researchers believe that the results of the debate between the candidates, in general, will not affect the results of the vote.

According to Antipovich, two-thirds of voters believe that a vote for Zelensky is a vote against the existing situation in the country.

The study also notes that among the voters of Poroshenko almost 40% vote not so much for Poroshenko as against Vladimir Putin. At the same time, 30% of Zelensky’s voters said that, voting for Zelensky, they were voting against Putin.

The survey was conducted April 5-10, 2019. The representativeness error is no more than 1,8%. For the study, sociologists surveyed 3000 people over the age of 18.
