I wanted to check: Dmitry Andreichenko from Missouri came with a rifle to Walmart
Less than a week after it happened mass shooting at Walmart in the city of El Paso (Texas), in Walmart in Springfield (Missouri) a young man came in a military uniform, lightweight body armor and with a semi-automatic rifle AR-15. Writes about it with the BBC.
Eyewitnesses and cameras installed in the store showed that the man came to the store near 17: 00 and began to shoot what was happening on the smartphone from the car. He took out a bulletproof vest and rifle from the trunk, and entered the department store, taking the shopping trolley and continuing to take pictures.
The store administrator called the police, turned on the fire alarm and shoppers rushed to the door in a panic.
The young man with the rifle quickly walked towards the emergency exit. There he was met by a former firefighter who had a license to carry a weapon. He pointed the gun at him and shouted, “Hands up!” The young man complied.

Police arrived three minutes later and handcuffed him. In addition to the rifle, he found a pistol with a cartridge in the chamber. More than a hundred rounds of ammunition were found in the detainee’s car.
“Honestly, he was very lucky to be alive,” said local police Lt. Mike Lucas.
On Friday, August 9, in the evening, authorities announced the name of the detainee: Dmitry Andreichenko. On his pages on social networks, the guy writes that he was from Portland (Oregon). In recent years, tens of thousands of Russian Pentecostals have settled in these places. It is still unclear whether one of them was detained, but judging by his posts, he is very devout.
For example, he quoted on Instagram the 16th section of “The Epistle to the Romans of the Holy Apostle Paul”: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.”

Andreichenko believes not only in God, but also in Donald Trump and weapons. He posted a photo of himself wearing a T-shirt that read, “I love my Lord, my wife and my gun.”
The detainee uses the Latin expression Molon labe, “come and take it,” which is defiantly repeated by American supporters of the Second Amendment to the Constitution, which guarantees the right to bear arms.
From the records of Andreichenko in social networks it follows that he married in March 2016, and he has a child.
“I love family life!” his wife writes on Facebook.
Walking through the department store, he exchanged remarks with customers, one of whom asked: “Why are you walking around in a bulletproof vest and with a rifle?” According to one witness, Andreichenko “didn’t seem surprised. He didn't seem angry. He looked like he was happy with what was going on."
According to the police report of the incident, Andreichenko said after the arrest that he “wanted to see if this Walmart respected the Second Amendment” and was recording video in case he was ordered to leave the premises. He stated that he intended to buy grocery bags and did not expect the reaction his appearance caused.

During interrogation, he explained it this way: “This is Missouri. I thought that if we were somewhere in New York or California, people would panic."
Judging by social networks, Andreichenko does not like Muslims, transgender people and Walmart. It follows from his posts on Facebook that he was indignant when in February Walmart raised the age limit for the purchase of weapons from 18 years to 21 years.
“I hate Walmart. They won't sell you a rifle and ammo unless you're 21 - "New Rule". However, I can walk into a store with a .40 caliber barrel and no one will tell me anything. The chickens are laughing!” wrote Andreichenko.
He was clearly referring to Missouri's law allowing citizens to openly carry guns. He, however, did not take into account the clause; it contained that weapons could not be displayed “in an angry or threatening manner.”

According to Springfield police, Andreichenko shared his plans with his wife, “and she told him it was stupid. She noted that he was just an immature boy." His sister reacted similarly to this plan.
Andreichenko was charged with second-degree “terrorist threats,” which, according to Missouri law, “recklessly and knowingly disregards the risk of causing the evacuation, quarantine or closure of any part of a building, dwelling, public place or transportation facility.”
If convicted, Andreichenko faces up to 4 years in prison and a fine of up to 10 thousand dollars.
