The father of one of the alleged shooters at STEM School Highlands Ranch in Colorado is an illegal migrant from Mexico and a serial criminal, writes Dailymail.

José Evis Quintana, father of the alleged 16-year-old killer Alec McKinney, was jailed for 15 months for domestic violence against Alec’s mother and “gun threat”.

McKinney and his friend Devon Erickson were charged with shooting, killing one student and injuring eight others at a school in Denver, Colorado.

It is noted that the 33-year-old Quintana was twice deported from the United States and was arrested several times in Colorado from 2008 to 2017.

Court documents say that Quintana abused X10-year-old Morgan Lynn McKinney’s Alec mother before the wedding. But in 32, he managed to convince a woman to marry him. This was a year before he was first deported.

Quintana admitted that he had problems with alcohol and drugs and he was deported to Mexico on December 9 2010.

16-year-old Alec a few days before the shooting at school wrote on social networks that he misses his father.

Alec is a transgender, he was born a girl named Maya.

“My mom tells me she hates the new Alec. Mom: “I miss Alec, you can find him for me.” Me: “I miss my father, you can find him for me,” Alec wrote.

It is noted that 22 August 2008, Kintan was charged with attempting to kidnap Morgan and threatening her with a weapon. He was arrested and he asked the court to leave him under arrest, since “he has problems with alcohol and drugs”.

The court agreed and allowed him to meet with Alec, his brother and sister, provided that Morgan would not come with the children. While Quintana was in prison, the woman received the right to full custody of the three children.

In 2009, Quintana received the 15 months of prison. He was also awarded counseling for family violence. Despite everything that happened, after Quintana was released from prison, the couple were married at Castle Rock 28 on November 2009. A year later, the man was deported to Mexico.

19 November 2014, Morgan filed for divorce. They also noted that Quintana “was traveling illegally between Colorado and Mexico” while being deported. A woman got a divorce in 2015.

27 December 2016, police in Castle Rock again detained Kintana for domestic violence. He was arrested and was awaiting extradition to New Mexico, but on 21 on April 2017, he was arrested by agents of the migration and customs services and deported to Mexico.

4 July 2017, Alec wrote on social media: “I wonder why my father left.”

Allegedly, Alec was the victim of bullying at school. 25 January 2019, he tweeted: "F ** K, children, I swear to God."

This tweet was posted 5 months before the shooting.

• Shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch began around 14: 00 7 May. Initially 8 injured reported. Later it turned out that one student of the institution was killed.
• In the middle of April schools in the area were closed because of the threats of a girl from Florida, who was allegedly inspired by the shooting at Columbine School, which took place on 20 on April 1999 of the year. Then two students of this school killed 12 their classmates and teachers during a mass shooting at a high school in the city of Littleton, about 10 miles from Denver.
• Police arrest two suspects: 18-year-old Devon Erickson, as well as a minor shooter Aleka McKinney.
• 18 year old student Kendrick Castillo died after being rushed on a criminal in an attempt to save classmates.
