Burglars may have gotten more than they bargained for when they robbed a house in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The stolen video camera is still broadcasting live. The edition told in more detail CBS News.

Two men stole thousands of dollars worth of tools from a house near 74th Street and Silver Spring Drive. Apparently, among other things, they grabbed a security camera that is still broadcasting from their kitchen table.

A security camera captured the moment when two thieves stole it, along with tools, from a house under renovation. The real estate broker saw everything.

“Someone took the camera and said what is it? And then they packed her up without knowing she was still active,” said realtor Erica Winship of Premier Point Realty.

Since the house was empty, the robbers broke down the front door and spent some time inside.

“They took about $8 worth of tools. In addition, the robbers took a hidden camera that (they did not know about it) would work anywhere, so right now it is working on their dining table. We can see everything,” Winship said.

She shared a video taken a week after the robbery broke into the house.

“We see people using drugs. We see criminals talking about how they sold drugs and where the money went,” the realtor said.

According to Winship, she can only assume that they do not realize that the camera is still transmitting what is happening.

“I don't think they care. This is discouraging. While some work hard to make the house livable and beautiful, others just come and destroy it,” Winship said.

The battery-powered camera uses a cellular network and continues to broadcast what it saw nearly eight days after it was stolen.

Milwaukee police say they're still investigating but haven't made any arrests yet.
