The Russian government allowed to import counterfeit American goods: Apple, Tesla and Jeep will steal

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has approved a list of goods that will be imported counterfeit (they call it parallel imports). Read more about this publication RBC.

It follows from the document that after the start of world sales it will be possible to import into the country without the permission of the copyright holder components for foreign cars, electronics and household appliances (including smartphones and computers from popular manufacturers), textiles, clothing and footwear, as well as chemical products, including cosmetics and perfumery. In total, there are 56 product groups in the list.

“According to the document, civil liability is excluded for cases of importers importing products bypassing official distribution channels. The list of goods for which parallel imports are allowed includes products necessary for the operation of production facilities, as well as a wide range of consumer goods, the ministry said in a commentary. “The parallel import mechanism begins its work from the date of registration of the order by the Russian Ministry of Justice - May 6, 2022.”

Auto products

Western and Japanese automakers were among the first to announce their exit from the Russian market, so a huge part of the list of counterfeit goods is occupied by everything needed for such foreign cars as Land Rover, Jeep, Jaguar, Chrysler, Bentley, General Motors, Cadillac, Chevrolet , Dodge, GMC, Mitsubishi, Renault, Hummer, Rover, Tesla, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Daimler, Maybach, Smart, BMW, Mini, Volkswagen, Skoda, Porshe, Audi, Toyota, Lexus, Lamborgini, Ferrari, Seat, Man , Scania, Isuzu, Maserati, Aston Martin, Subaru, Suzuki, Honda, Acura, Infiniti, Nissan, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Mack Trucks, Volvo, DAF Trucks, Rolls-Royce, Bugatti.

In Russia, they allowed the import without the permission of the copyright holder of technological liquids and oils, plastic products, glassware and ferrous metals, copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, and tin. In addition, the import of tools, electrics, various components (seats, belts, etc.) is allowed.

In Russia, they haven’t forgotten about tires - the list of brands includes Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, Bridgestone.

For rail transport, it will be possible to import equipment from manufacturers Dellner, Alfred Heyd, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Bonatrans Group, Faiveley Transport Bochum, Welser Profile, ITT Holdings Czech Republic, SR.O., Axtone Spolka and Akcyjna. Even various types of vessels (cargo, cruise, fishing, yachts, tugboats, rescue and warships) are allowed to be counterfeited.

Apple, Samsung and others

Also, without the permission of the copyright holder, it is possible to import phones, smartphones and accessories to them from the main top manufacturers into the Russian Federation. The list includes such of them: Apple, Samsung, Nokia, Panasonic, Asus, Philips, Siemens, HP, Xeon, Intel, Motorola, Sony and others. also on this list. This list also includes smart watches, as well as laptops and related equipment.

In the same way, refrigerators, washing machines, copiers, printers, sewing machines, air conditioners, sound recording equipment and other goods will be imported into the Russian Federation.

Cosmetics in question

With cosmetics, the situation is a little different: instead of indicating which goods can be imported into Russia without the permission of the copyright holder, the list includes those companies whose goods cannot be imported. Garnier, L'Oreal Paris, Maybelline, NYX, L'Oreal Professionel, Matrix, Redken, Kerastase, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Skinceuticals, Cerave, Lancome, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Kiehl's, Valentino, Prada, Helena Rubinstein, Atelier Cologne, Azzaro, Biotherm, Cacharel, Diesel, Maison Margiela, Mugler, Urban Decay.

It is also prohibited to import all Procter & Gamble products, including hair products, oral hygiene products, shaving products, deodorants and others under the brands Pantene Pro-V, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Blend-a-med, Oral- B, Gillette, Old Spice.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, noted that the list of "parallel imports" will not include the products of those manufacturers who intend to maintain production in Russia.

“If manufacturers remain, if suppliers of imported products retain their logistics, supply their products to the Russian market, then we are interested in their products and brands not being included in the list,” he explained.
