New symptoms of coronavirus infection: CDC updated list

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has added three new characteristic manifestations of coronavirus to its list of symptoms. Writes about this Fox News.

Nasal congestion or runny nose, nausea, and diarrhea were added to the federal department list, which already included fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body pain, headache, loss of taste or smell, and sore throat.

“This list does not include all possible symptoms. CDC will continue to update it as it learns more about COVID-19,” the CDC said.

The regulator added new symptoms in April, when six additional characteristic signs appeared: chills, trembling in the body, muscle and headache, as well as sore throat and loss of smell.

When a pandemic just started, fever, cough, and shortness of breath were the most common signs of COVID-19 infection.

Symptoms can range from mild to severe, most people begin to experience them 2-14 days after infection.

“Older adults and those with severe underlying medical conditions, such as heart disease or diabetes, are at higher risk of developing more severe complications from COVID-19,” the CDC warns and notes that there are “warning signs” for seeking medical treatment. symptoms usually include trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, inability to wake up or stay awake, and bluish lips or face.

“If anyone exhibits any of these signs, seek emergency medical attention immediately,” the CDC said.

To date, more than 9,4 million new coronavirus cases have been reported worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. In the United States alone, more than 2,3 million cases and at least 121 996 deaths from this dangerous virus were recorded.
