Annicki Dean's son survived a school in Parkland, Florida, where on February 14 Nicholas Cruz shot an 17 man. He wrote mother messages, writes CNN.

Dean was well aware of the horror that her son was experiencing, since a year earlier she had survived shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airportwhere 5 people died. Dean hid behind a luggage trolley and prayed to stay alive for her two sons. An unknown man covered her with bullets. She calls this man her "guardian angel."

“There’s a school shooting here. It’s really scary, he’s shooting a gun,” 14-year-old Austin Dean wrote to his mother.

Dean was in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and hid in a private classroom with other 30 students.

“He wrote that people were running and screaming. He said he was locked in the room and added “I love you,” just in case,” the mother recalls.

“I couldn't do anything. I was just grateful for every message he sent me,” the woman recalls.

According to her, she very much hoped that her son remembered everything she had told him about how to survive in the event of a mass shooting.

“I talked to my children. Sometimes, when we went grocery shopping, I asked them, what would you do if someone started shooting now? Where would you run? Where would you hide,” says Annika.

Austin is back home. And the daughter of Annika’s closest friend was injured. She underwent three operations and is now in a hospital in a stable condition.

“This happens incredibly rarely. My brother said that you are either one of the luckiest people or one of the unluckiest. I answered that it was both,” says the woman.

Recall that February 14 in high school in Parkland, Florida, was shot, as a result of which at least 17 people were killed and several injured. It is reported that first the attacker triggered a fire alarm that caused a panic at school, and then opened fire on the people running.

The shooter was a former student of this school. 19-year-old Nicholas Cruz. The motives of the shooter are currently not established, but it is known that he had previously been expelled from this educational institution for disciplinary reasons, calling it a “threat” to students. A young man who was adopted at birth by an elderly couple, has recently suffered from depression. His father died when the boy was still young, and his mother was buried just 3 a month ago.
