Cuomo will allocate $ 1,4 billion for projects in Brooklyn
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo approved the Vital Brooklyn initiative to improve life in the poorest areas of Brooklyn, and from 3 in May, the state government will begin accepting offers from performers seeking government funding.

In general, the program provides funding in the amount of $ 1,4 billion, writes AMNY.
The initiative was announced in 2017 year, it is focused on the Brooklyn area of 120 square km. The initiative is expected to fund schools, housing, health care, employment, and many other industries in Brooklyn.
State money will go to help 30 000 unemployed; building 3000 housing units for low-income Brooklyn 11 facilities; the construction of 30 new playgrounds and parks; and to fund sports programs. The initiative also includes the allocation of 700 million dollars in health care.
According to Cuomo, central Brooklyn was “ignored for too long”; this part of the city for a long time received only scattered, not systemic investments.
Government money will go to finance 8 800 projects affecting 800 000 people. Most projects are expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
