It is not known whether the losing candidate will seek a re-election.

Albia and Zeta moved last summer to Dodson from the Philippines to teach elementary school, according to the school district's Facebook page. After the election, residents of the city complained that Albia and Zeta took part in the vote, which led to a lawsuit.
They pleaded not guilty. A trial date has not been set. Such charges are punishable by a fine of up to $500 under state law.
Dodson is a town of about 125 people. Forty-one voters cast ballots in the November 2021 municipal elections for mayor and city council.
