A new meeting of the US President and the leader of the DPRK will be held in late February. This was announced after Trump talk with a North Korean general who arrived in Washington.

After meeting with Kim Jong-un's special envoy, General Kim Yong Chol, the White House announced that new negotiations between Donald Trump and the DPRK leader would be held in late February, Reuters reported. The venue of the summit will be announced later, writes RBC.
The fact that specifically discussed Trump and Kim Yong Chol, in Washington did not report, limiting the statement of a productive conversation. It is known that after the conversation, which lasted an hour and a half, the politicians went to lunch.
Initially, it was assumed that Trump and envoy Kim Jong-un were to discuss not only the new summit, but also the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
The South Korean Yonhap Agency previously reported that the arrival of the North Korean general in Washington was preceded by the visit of the Director of the National Intelligence Service of South Korea So Hoon. The latter held talks with CIA Director Gina Haspel and also discussed with her the DPRK nuclear program.
The first ever US and DPRK summit passed 12 June 2018 of the year. The parties have long coordinated the venue of the meeting, eventually settling on Singapore. According to one version, which was voiced by Congressman Michael McCall, new negotiations can take place in Hanoi.
