Journalists learned about the timer on board the crashed Russian airliner

On board the Russian A321 aircraft crashed in Egypt, there was a timer set for two hours. It is reported by the American television channel Fox News, citing sources in the special services.

According to one of the working versions considered by the American special services, the timer was set at the fuel line, the power of the explosive device attached to it was designed so that when it fires, the fuel would ignite.

The use of this type of explosive device, notes Fox News, explains why the wreckage of the aircraft has so far failed to detect traces of explosives.

At the moment, according to the interlocutors of the channel, investigators are checking who could have access to the aircraft in the "hour and a half window" when the timer and explosive device could be installed on board the ship. A321 crashed 23 minutes after taking off from Sharm el-Sheikh airport.

Earlier, Forum reported that the A321 plane of the Russian airline Metrojet (old name - Kogalymavia) crashed in Egypt on October 31. All 224 people on board the plane flying from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg were killed.

Representatives of the American and British intelligence services statedthat the most likely cause of the collapse of the Russian liner is considered to be a bomb explosion on board. The same version was voiced by the British Prime Minister and the President of the United States.

Egyptian authorities soon after the plane crash they said that it was caused by technical problems.

Russian authorities 6 November have given away order to terminate flights with Egypt to determine the causes of the crash. The Russian side has not yet announced the priority version of the crash.
