US intelligence has recorded a flash at the time of the crash of the A-321
The American private intelligence and analysis company Stratfor called the bombing on board the most likely cause of the crash of the passenger aircraft A-321 in Egypt.
Analysts say that accidents due to technical problems in most cases occur during take-off and landing, when the design of the aircraft is experiencing the greatest load. With regard to the possible failure of electronics, in this case, according to experts Stratfor, the pilots could take control of themselves and land the plane.
Stratfor also excludes the version that A-321 could have been shot down by a rocket from the ground. Analysts say that the militants operating in the north of the Sinai Peninsula, in the area of the disaster, have only portable anti-aircraft systems that are used to hit targets at low altitudes. The militants do not have rocket launchers, from which you can shoot down a liner at flight level of about 10 thousands of meters.
A source in the US Department of Defense states that a US satellite recorded a thermal flare during the crash of an A-321 aircraft over the Sinai Peninsula. The data from the satellite may presumably indicate an explosion on board the liner - the explosion of a bomb or fuel tanks. About it сообщает NBC News.
Sources ABC News do not exclude, in turn, that the satellite recorded the moment of collision of the plane with the ground. Moreover, according to sources, the heat flare may not be associated with a catastrophe at all, since special operations of the Egyptian army against militants are taking place in the north of the Sinai Peninsula.
According to representatives of the US Department of Defense, satellite tracking data allows us to exclude the version that A-321 was shot down by a rocket from the ground: the satellite did not record the thermal trace from the rocket.
Previously "Forum" reported about the crash of the Metrojet A-321 aircraft (the old name is “Kogalymavia”) occurred on the morning of October 31. On board the liner, performing the charter flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, were 224 man, they all died.
Egyptian authorities believe that technical problems caused the crash. Metrojet Company saidthat the plane could break only as a result of external influence.
On fragments of the liner, which have already been able to examine the experts, no traces of explosives were found. The study of the wreckage of the aircraft continues.
