Hamas did not release the smallest hostage: a 10-month-old baby and his family were handed over to another group in Gaza
Hamas refused to release the youngest hostage, 10-month-old Kfir Bibas. Instead, they handed him over to another terrorist organization operating in the southern Gaza city, reports New York Post.
A 10-month-old Israeli boy - the youngest hostage taken by Hamas - and his family were handed over to another Palestinian terrorist group. Their relatives call the move "just more psychological torture" and fear the children are being kept as "trophies."
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adrai said on the evening of November 27 that the Bibas family, including baby Kfir, his 4-year-old brother Ariel and their parents Yarden and Shiri Bibas, were being held captive in southern Gaza by another Palestinian faction.

The boys were not scheduled to be released on November 28 as part of the exchange.
But Ofri Bibas, Yarden's sister and aunt of Kfira and Ariel, again asked for the family's release in the next exchange.
“We are talking to you today because tomorrow is the last day of the current ceasefire,” she said. “They are currently the smallest hostages still in Hamas captivity.”
“We don't know where they were kept. As far as we know, they are being kept underground,” Ofri said. “We are very concerned about a 10-month-old baby whose main diet is formula.”
“We call on the Israeli government, Qatar and Egypt, everyone involved in these negotiations and this deal, to do everything possible to include our family in this deal and to release them as soon as possible,” she added. “I hope they don’t keep them as a trophy.”
Eilon Keshet, a cousin of Kfir's father, asked reporters on November 28: "Is little Kfir an enemy of Hamas?"
“There is no precedent for this: a child was kidnapped when he was 9 months old,” Keshet said.
Adrai made the public statement about the boys as part of what appears to be a campaign to increase pressure on terrorist leaders to release them before the end of an extended temporary truce on November 29.
“Infants up to one year old are being held in a Hamas prison who have not seen the light of day for more than 50 days,” Adraei wrote in a message on X.
“Hamas treats them like prey and sometimes hands them over to other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip. For example, the Bibas family, two red-haired children who were kidnapped from their home in Nir Oz by a member of the terrorist organization Hamas and are being held in the Khan Yunis area by one of the Palestinian factions,” he wrote.
Khan Yunis, where Bibas is being held, is expected to become the target of Israeli attacks once the temporary ceasefire expires. This sparked speculation that Hamas had strategically transferred the baby to the city as a means of extending the truce.

Four members of the Bibas family were among 240 hostages taken by Hamas during the group's deadly attack on Israel on October 7.
On the video, posted on social media, shows kindergarten teacher Shiri Silberman-Bibas clutching her sons as the family is abducted.
The family was hiding in a safe room when the terrorists attacked.
The children's aunt, Noah Abrahams, described the latest events as "just more psychological torture."
“We are experiencing moments of great uncertainty. Knowing that we will not receive the hugs we wanted leaves us speechless,” the family said in a statement.
On November 27, Israel and Hamas agreed to extend the temporary truce for another two days.
Hamas noted that the extension would follow the rules previously laid out in the original four-day agreement, meaning the terrorists would release at least 20 more hostages in exchange for an additional two days of peace.
