The US Department of Agriculture has designated Wakanda as a country with a free trade agreement, despite the fact that it is a fictional kingdom from the comics and film "Black Panther", writes Air force.

A department spokesman said the name of the fictional country was added to the list for test purposes.

A detailed list of goods sold by the two countries, including ducks, donkeys and dairy cows, was posted on the agency’s online tariff list on the agency’s website.

In the Marvel Universe, Wakanda is the East African homeland of the Black Panther superhero.

The country was removed from the list shortly after the American media began to ask questions about this.

Then, jokes appeared on the networks that states had begun a trade war.

Wakanda first appeared in the Fantastic Four comics in 1966. It's also set in last year's Oscar-winning film.

"Bomb Agrabah"?

A curiosity on the department’s website was discovered by New York programmer Francis Zeng, who was looking for agricultural tariffs to apply for a grant.

When he first saw Wakanda on the list, he was a little confused: “I thought I had misremembered the country from the movie and confused it with something else,” Tseng told Reuters.

After Wakanda was removed from the list, a USDA spokeswoman told the Washington Post that the fictional country was added for "personnel training" purposes and should never have been made public.

“Information about Wakanda should have been removed after testing, so now it is gone,” the department concluded.

In social networks, the curiosity was perceived with due imagination.
