Where to admire cherry blossoms in Washington without crowds of tourists

The total length of the sakura trail in the arboretum is about 5 km. There are parking lots in different places.

Arboretum open daily from 8:00 to 17:00. Vehicle entry is permitted through the gate located at 2400 R St. NE from 8:00 to 14:00 from Monday to Friday. On weekends, vehicles must enter the park through the gate located at 3501 New York Ave. NE. Entry and entry into the arboretum is free.

The trees are mostly clustered in a few places. But during the excursion, guests will see a lot of interesting things besides cherry blossoms: research fields; a beautiful, sun-drenched grove (with trees grown from seeds collected in Japan); experimental hybrids.
