The play 'Meek' with Evgeniy Stychkin in the title role will be shown in the USA

From November 3 to November 19, 2023, in ten US cities, viewers will enjoy the premiere of the play “The Meek” with the participation of the famous theater and film artist Evgeny Stychkin. The production was created by the famous director Pavel Safonov, the project producer is Anton Torsuskov.

Let us recall that in 2017, the play “Uncle Vanya” directed by Rimas Tuminas took place in New York, Boston and Toronto with great success and constant sell-outs. This happened as part of the official tour of the legendary Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theater in North America. The arrival of the famous theater with its favorite artists in the USA was a real gift for both ordinary spectators and true connoisseurs of theatrical art.

Such expected events in the theatrical life of the United States fully include the premiere of the production “The Meek One” based on the work of the great writer and world-famous philosopher Fyodor Dostoevsky.

The play “The Meek One” is a deeply meaningful directorial statement that very boldly and extremely sincerely addresses the viewer with universal questions about the most important and exciting things for everyone.

The premiere of the play took place as part of the VIII International Theater Festival of Solo Performances "SOLO" in the program of which, over the years, famous directors and actors presented their productions: Romeo Castellucci, Robert Wilson, Wajdi Mouawad, Jan Fabre, Pippo Delbono, Denis Lavant, Theodoros Terzopoulos, Daniele Finzi Pasca, Angelica Liddell, Konstantin Raikin, Roza Khairullina, Polina Agureeva, Pyotr Mamonov and many others.

The main role in the play "Meek" is played by one of the best artists of Russian theater and cinema, winner of the national awards "Chaika" and "Golden Eagle" Evgeny Stychkin.
