A helicopter crashed in New York: only the pilot survived. VIDEO
The crash of a helicopter in New York, which killed everyone except the pilot, may have been caused by passenger’s baggage, the pilot told investigators. Helicopter crashed in east river city in new york. The incident occurred on Sunday evening, 11 March.
The pilot of the helicopter survived, and two people were declared dead at the crash site, NYPD Commissioner James O'Neil said at a press conference.
Rescuers managed to get three people out of the water and deliver them to nearby hospitals. Two of them in critical condition were sent to hospital Bellevue in New York. Third victim in critical condition sent to hospital NYU Langone. All of them, with the exception of the pilot, eventually died.

A group that, according to officials, flew on tour Liberty helicopterswas on a private Eurocopter AS350 for a photo shoot when the plane crashed around 7 in the evening. Officials said the water was icy on Sunday night.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating.
FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro said that the divers pulled 5 people who were tightly closed in a helicopter that managed to “roll over and dive completely”.

One of the witnesses said that she had watched the crash from the window of her apartment, and “immediately thought that those inside would not survive.”
Another witness, Arineh Nazaryan, described that he saw a helicopter crash during dinner.
"We noticed the red helicopter was heading into the water at full speed," Nazarian told WABC. “It looked very surreal.” The immediate reaction was to call 911.”
