Golden Golda Awards 2019: New York City Awards Women Contributing to Zionism
In New York on December 26, the American Golden Golda Awards 2019 were announced. This international award was established by the World Zionist Organization. The award recognizes the outstanding successes of women leaders in developing their community, strengthening the values of Zionism and expanding the possibilities of immigration to Israel.

The honorary award commission noted the winners in the following nominations:
- Global Leadership in Zionism Award ("For Leadership in Zionism");
- Award for Cultural Excellence ("For the Promotion of Cultural Heritage");
- Award for Outstanding Community Serice ("For Contributing to Community Development and Prosperity").

Award ceremonies for laureates of different countries have been held since 2017 at the initiative of Marina Rosenberg-Korytnaya, Head of the Department for Support of Repatriation of the WLW. Similar events have already taken place in the USA, France, Great Britain, Brazil and Argentina.

The award received its name in honor of the first woman, the Prime Minister of Israel and the leader of the Zionist labor movement Golda Meir, whose work not only made an invaluable contribution to the promotion of Zionism, but also helped to strengthen civic participation, as well as to develop a sense of unity among Jews around the world.
