Already used by developers of Uber and eBay: an American company bought a Ukrainian startup millionaire

American design company Abstract bought the Ukrainian startup Flawless App. This was reported by the co-founder of the project Lisa Dziuba, writes AIN.UA.

The transaction amount is not disclosed. The 2018 Flawless App passed Accelerator Techstars at a valuation of $ 2 million.

Abstract develops a version control system specifically for designers. With its help, you can collaborate on files, monitor the progress of work and organize the design process. TechCrunch Edition calls Abstract is an analogue of Git for designers. The company, founded in 2015, has already attracted $ 54,2 million in financing.

The key product of the Flawless App is a tool for comparing design with a real mobile application during development, founded Ahmed Suleiman and Lisa Dziuba in 2015. It is used by developers from Uber, Basecamp, Disney, eBay, Nike, Qiwi, Spotify and other companies. Project received investments from Alexander Kosovan and passed at Techstars.

The program allows the developer to find and fix visual errors in mobile applications before they reach the user. The founders note that with the help of the tool, developers can save more than 30 hours every month, writes League.Tech.

There are 5 people in the Flawless App team. They will join the Abstract team, which works completely remotely.

“At Abstract, our team will be focused on developing and promoting the Abstract SDK. This initiative will make it easier for developers to integrate Abstract into their systems. Also, thanks to the SDK, it will finally be possible to automate many routine design tasks,” said Ahmed Suleiman, co-founder of Flawless App. “In addition to working on the SDK, our team will continue to invest efforts in developing the design and developer community, now at a higher level.”

Flawless App will become an open source project - developers will open the source code and publish detailed documentation of the application.

Also, a Ukrainian startup has created a number of community projects: a blog about mobile development Flawless iOSselection Awesome design tools and newsletter Design tools weekly. They will continue to be developed with the support of Abstract.
