Her friend gave her birthday spirits, which are allergic to her. And when the woman went to the cosmetic shop Sephora, to return this product, she was refused a return, giving a phone number The Retail Equation - the company that monitors the profitability of retail chains, including Sephora.

After calling this number, Vine was informed that she was forbidden to return any goods to Sephora during a year. This very surprised a woman, since she is a regular customer of this network, in which she regularly spends large sums.

В The retail equation she was told that she had too many returns in a year, but Vina thought it was unfair, because in a year she spent Sephora more than $ 575 and at the same time returned the goods to only $ 32.

Sephora and The Retail Equation explained that they continuously monitor returns of goods by their customers and determine 1% of those who make too many returns. Therefore, getting into this list does not depend on the ratio of the amount of your total purchases to the amount of returns, but on the activity of returns of other buyers. Such people are suspected of fraud and therefore their returns are blocked.

After the journalists appealed, Vina’s case was revised, the store again allowed her to return the goods, and also offered a $ 100 gift card as compensation.
