The cheapest days for flights for winter, spring, summer and autumn

If you are not doing anything while planning your vacation and are not comparing the value of the transfer, then Fox News prepared a memo for you to save on tickets.

Winter

Starting in January 3 tickets are usually sold at discounted prices. This will continue until early March, when tariffs for the weekend will grow.

January and February are also cheap periods for trips to Europe.

Tip: tickets are cheap now, but you still have to buy them in advance, about two weeks or a month before departure for domestic flights, and a little earlier for Europe. If you buy tickets now to take off the next day or so, you will pay a considerable amount due to business travelers.

Spring

At the end of March, weekend tickets will cost about 30 percent more than Tuesday/Wednesday tickets. Weekend rates increase further in April, and rates generally increase in May, especially towards the end of the month. If you're traveling to Europe, try to fly before May 21st, the last day before the more expensive pre-season prices kick in.

Tip: spring is cheaper to fly than in summer, so if you can fly before June, do it.

For flights on the US 13 July - the beginning of the increase in fares, and the peak prices for the season begin with 23 June. As a rule, such high prices hold until July.

For travel to Europe, the highest prices will be from the end of June. In fact, tariffs will fall a bit during July.

Tip: In the USA, September, October and especially the beginning of November is marked by very cheap air tickets. The beginning of December is also the period of a profitable trip. Flights to Europe are usually cheaper from late September to mid-December.

Avoid flying on days immediately surrounding major holidays, especially Thanksgiving (November 28), which is almost always the most expensive time of year in the United States.
