For the second time in a row Putin didn’t make the list of the most influential people in the world according to the Times

At the conclusion of the American magazine, the leader of 2019 of the year is the speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Nancy Pelosi. The list also includes footballer Salah and Ninja Streamer, writes DW.

For the second year in a row, American Time magazine did not include Russian President Vladimir Putin in its list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The rating was published on the publication’s website on Wednesday, April 17. Previously, Putin was included in this list in the “Leaders” category, which includes politicians, businessmen and public figures. However, in this year’s ranking the head of the Russian state is not included in any of the categories.

According to Time, the leader of the 2019 of the year is the speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Democrat Nancy Pelosi. Among the most influential leaders were US President Donald Trump, Venezuelan provisional president Juan Guaydo, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Brazilian President Zhair Bolshonara.

Egyptian footballer Mohammed Salah, Canadian actress Sandra Oh, American wrestler Dwayne Johnson, Ninja streamer, Pope Francis and US special prosecutor for Russia are also present in the ranking published by Time. Robert Müller.

Putin has been named to Time's list of most influential people six times (including three years in a row in 2015, 2016 and 2017). The publication also twice awarded Putin the title of “Person of the Year.”

Recall that in April the American magazine dedicated cover Putin. On the cover in red and black tones is the Russian leader, leaning his hands on the globe. The cover is made for an article by Time journalist Simon Schuster. It states that the activity of the Russian Federation extends from the main conflict zones, such as Venezuela, Libya and Syria, to Africa, to countries such as Sudan.

Time is not the first time Russian President on the cover. Recently, he was portrayed together with US President Donald Trump in connection with the investigation of possible links between Trump’s campaign headquarters and the Russian authorities.
