Unknown opened school shooting in California: five dead

In Tehama County, California, an unknown person arranged a shootout that began in a private house but continued on to the primary school, reports wdsu.com.

The incident occurred around 8 in the morning. As a result of the shootout, 5 people were killed over 10 people were injured.

Before heading to school, the shooter also shot at a woman with a child passing by.

The shooter is said to have used the stolen truck to go to school, where he injured at least three children and one adult before he was killed.

According to the deputy sheriff, several students were hospitalized with gunshot wounds and transported by helicopter.

Now the police are studying the places where the shooting took place. One of the witnesses reports 100 shots. School staff with their children evacuated.

Among the injured there is an 6-year-old child and another older child. In addition, an 30-year-old man was also taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh.

One man, who at the time was taking his daughter to kindergarten, said that during the incident there were two arrows. One of them was dressed in camouflage and eventually fled from the scene.

“We heard adults and children screaming. I was about three blocks from the school, I heard people screaming in the school,” one witness said KRCTV.

Tehama Ranch is located about 190 miles north of San Francisco.
