A man shot people at a bowling alley and restaurant in Maine: 22 people died
At least 16 people were killed and dozens were injured in two shootings that occurred on the evening of October 25 at a bowling alley and restaurant in Lewiston, Maine. Writes about this CNN.

According to Maine Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschak, the suspect in the incident is Robert Card, 40, of Bowdoin, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Card is a certified firearms instructor and a U.S. Army reservist, Maine law enforcement officials said. According to law enforcement officials, Card recently threatened to carry out a shooting at the National Guard base in Saco, Maine, and also reported mental problems, including hearing voices.
Saushak declined to provide additional information about the suspect.
“We are not ready to go into the details of Card’s biography,” he said.

According to law enforcement agencies, at least 16 people were killed. At the same time, Lewiston City Council member Robert McCarthy, citing the city administrator, said that 22 people were killed.
Dozens of people were injured, although it is not clear how many were injured in the shooting.
Saushak said the shooting happened around 19 p.m. ET. Lewiston police received reports of shots fired at the Sparetime Recreation bowling alley on Mollison Way and the Schemengees Bar & Grille on Lincoln Street.
“We are asking all businesses to close while the investigation is conducted,” the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.
In addition, law enforcement officials released an image of the “suspect for identification.” It is clear that he is holding an assault rifle.
Residents of Lewiston and the neighboring city of Lisbon, Saushak said, were told to shelter in their homes.
A "vehicle of interest" was found in Lisbon, the commissioner said. Lewiston police previously said they were searching for the vehicle and released an image of a small white SUV with a front bumper believed to be painted black. Maine law enforcement confirmed that the photo shows the suspect's vehicle.
Lewiston is approximately 36 miles (59 km) north of Portland and is the state's second largest city.
“Please stay home and lock your doors,” state police said in a Facebook post. “If you notice suspicious activity or people, please call 911.”
A city spokesperson initially said another shooting occurred at a Walmart distribution center, but a company spokesperson denied that information and said no Walmart facilities were involved in those incidents.
Authorities in the nearby city of Auburn also “strongly urged” residents to shelter indoors due to the current situation.

Auburn is less than 2 miles (3,2 km) west of Lewiston.
The FBI said in a statement that its Boston office is coordinating with Maine law enforcement and "stands ready to assist with any available resources" and urges the public to remain vigilant.
Maine Gov. Janet Mills said she was aware of the situation.
“I urge all people in the area to follow the instructions of law enforcement. “I will continue to monitor the situation and be in close contact with public safety officials,” the governor wrote on Facebook.
