Hurricane Irma destroyed almost all the buildings and infrastructure of the small Caribbean island of Barbuda. According to the Prime Minister of the island state of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Brown, the island is now unsuitable for life.

In Puerto Rico, more than a million people were left without electricity, 50 thousands of people - without access to food and drinking water.

In the southern part of the island of St. Maarten, the airport, which is the third largest in the Caribbean, has been destroyed. As a result of the hurricane, the island was left without electricity.

Reports of destruction come from the British Virgin Islands, St. Barthelemy and St. Kitts and Nevis. According to the Red Cross and Red Crescent communities, 10 people died.

26 is still at risk for millions of people in the Dominican Republic, South Florida, Haiti and Cuba.

Recall Hurricane Irma recognized as one of the most powerful hurricanes in history. The element has already claimed at least 10 lives. The UN estimated that the victims of Hurricane Irma could be 37 million people.
