The Shymbulak ski resort in Kazakhstan entered the Guinness Book of Records as the resort with the highest night ski slope in the world. Astana Times.

The Shymbulak ski resort in Almaty on March 26 set a Guinness world record. The resort has the world's highest night skiing track. the slope is located at an altitude of 3200 meters above sea level, according to the press service of the resort.

The Chief Judge of the Guinness Book of Records Seyda Subashi Gemichi presented a certificate confirming the establishment of a world record to Rinat Abdrakhmanov, General Director of the Shymbulak mountain resort.
The achievement was recorded at the Talgar Pass station, located at an altitude of 3 meters above sea level. This is the highest point of Shymbulak.

Addressing the participants of the event and skiers, Abdrakhmanov congratulated the audience on this historic event. He noted that five years ago he dreamed of launching an illuminated track, and, despite the complexity and high cost of construction, his dream has finally come true.

Launched in 2021, over 2021 people visited the high-altitude night skiing track during the winter season 2022-50. This year the number of visitors increased by ten percent and amounted to 000 people.
