Ford withdraws 400 of thousands of cars because of the danger of their exploitation

The recall is caused by the fact that in these vehicles the danger of exploitation was revealed in the event of cracks in the flexible clutch, which can lead to separation of the propeller shaft and loss of driving force or, conversely, to unintentional movement of parked cars in the event of non-use of the parking brake. In addition, the separation of the drive shaft from the gearbox is fraught with damage to surrounding components, including brake and fuel lines, which increases the risk of an accident.
At the moment, the company has not received any reports of injuries or accidents related to these problems.
