Another victim of the resort in the Dominican Republic: during the holidays, the brother of an American TV star died

Jonathan Corcoran, a former New Jersey businessman and judge's brother on ABC Shark Tank's Barbara Corcoran show, was found dead in a resort hotel room in the Dominican Republic.

The man died in April, but the information about the death was again raised now amid reports of sudden mysterious deaths of American tourists in the Dominican Republic, writes Fox News.

The information about his death was confirmed by Emily Burke, assistant of Barbara Corcoran.

“John Corcoran died in late April in the Dominican Republic from what were considered natural causes. He loved and visited the Dominican Republic often. Barbara would like to respect the privacy of his children and does not intend to release any other information at this time,” Burke said.

According to Corcoran, her brother, who lived in New Jersey, went on vacation to the Dominican Republic with a friend. Corcoran said that a friend with whom they lived in the same room found his body. The exact cause of his death is unknown, although Corcoran said that she was informed that her brother had a heart attack. She added that she did not know whether an autopsy had been performed.

At the moment, it is not known in which hotel Corcoran stayed. He became the seventh American who mysteriously died in the Dominican Republic over the past year.

The US State Department confirmed the death of a businessman: “We can confirm the death of a US citizen in April 2019 in the Dominican Republic. We express our sincere condolences to the family in connection with their loss. Out of respect for the family at this difficult time, we will not provide any additional information. ”

Five days before Holmes and Day were found dead, psychotherapist from Pennsylvania Miranda Schaupp-Werner died in a nearby hotel owned by the same luxurious five-star resort chain Bahia Principe. Her husband said his 41-year-old wife fainted after drinking a drink from the minibar at the Luxury Hotel Bahia Principe Bouganville. Dominican authorities said that she died of a heart attack, although her family said that the woman never suffered from heart disease.

Later it became known that Robert Bell Wallace from California died in a hotel room in April 2019 of the year after he unexpectedly became seriously ill in the resort of Hard Rock in Punta Cana.

In early June, the family of a woman from Pennsylvania, who rested in the Dominican Republic last year, said that she died in her room at the Bahia Principe Resort in Punta Cana after drinking a drink from the minibar. Relatives of 51-year-old Yvette Monique Sport said that she visited a popular tourist spot last June, drank a drink from the mini-bar, went to bed and did not wake up. The death certificate states that the official cause of death was a heart attack.
