Director of the CIA: North Korea in a few months will be able to deliver a nuclear attack on the United States

In a few months, the DPRK will be able to launch a nuclear attack on targets in the continental United States.

About this in an interview with television CBS said the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Michael Pompeo.

According to Pompeo, the sixth nuclear test conducted by Pyongyang 3 September 2017 was not a surprise for US intelligence.

“We knew it was coming. North Korea's nuclear weapons program is being actively implemented and expanded. Warheads are becoming more powerful and reliable. We report all this to those who make political decisions,” Pompeo said.

Therefore, the head of the CIA suggested that the targets in the continental territory of the United States would be able to hit the DPRK nuclear warheads "in a few months."

In response, program presenter Nora O'Donnell noticed that the same assumption of “several months” Pompeo voiced more than six months ago.

"Yes it's true. I would like to answer that in a year... The US government is working tirelessly to ensure that this moment comes as late as possible,” explained the head of the CIA.

Recall at the end of November 2017 of the year North Korea has carried out tests of its largest ballistic missile - “Hwasong-15”, capable, according to experts, of covering a distance of up to 13 thousand km. Pyongyang said then that the Hwasong-15 could be equipped with a nuclear warhead, and the entire US territory was within its reach.
