CIA invites to work Russian-speaking Americans
The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) posted on its page in the microblog Twitter linguistic vacancy announcement for Russian-speaking Americans.
"Speak Russian? Do you have American citizenship and a higher education diploma? Interested in national security? Your skills will be needed here,” says the ad, which includes a link to the department’s vacancies page.

The ad's image reads: “Do you know what you can do as a CIA linguist? Reveal the truth!”
Later in the comments, the ministry explained the importance of knowing foreign languages for their agents.
“Foreign languages are fundamental to the success of the CIA. Whether an officer is holding a meeting in a foreign capital, analyzing the plans of a foreign government, or translating a foreign media broadcast, language capability is critical to every aspect of our missions. Language skills are the key to accessing foreign societies, understanding their governments, and deciphering their secrets,” the CIA said.
The straightness of the US special services surprised some commentators.
“It’s interesting, do the Russian special services use Twitterto state your recruiting priorities? Would like to compare related tweets,” wrote cybersecurity expert Jeffrey Carr.
Do you have any specific intelligence? Would love a side-by-side cap of both tweets. https://t.co/6R8uq8ZB3x
