White House releases new anti-Semitism strategy

On the morning of May 25, a new strategy for combating anti-Semitism, developed by the US presidential administration, was published. Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) actively advocated the creation of an interagency task force to combat anti-Semitism, which prepared this strategy, and also regularly advised the White House administration on security issues for Jewish communities.

"Jewish communities in the United States thank President Biden for devising an ambitious plan to combat rising anti-Semitism," the President said. Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) Julie Platt. “The program we have developed touches on many of our community priorities, including funding for the $360 million Nonprofit Security Grant Program, funding for the Jabar-Heyer NO HATE Act, and funding for Holocaust education programs.”

She also commended the White House for reaffirming the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's (IHRA) working definition of anti-Semitism.

“The unprecedented surge of anti-Semitism in the United States in recent years has caused great concern in Jewish communities, and the Jewish Federations look forward to working with Congress, the US presidential administration, and community organizations to increase the safety of our communities, work together to fight back all forms of hatred, and make our country a more safe,” Platt concluded.
