6 chain stores that offer discounts for senior citizens

In recent years, some grocery stores have eliminated senior discounts. But some still offer low prices for their older customers. Writes about it Money Talks News.

1. American discount foods

Shop at American Discount Foods on Mondays and you'll receive an 10% discount of the total amount on the check.

Every Monday is a day for retirees who are 62 years old. To take advantage of the discount, simply provide a valid ID as proof of your age.

2. DeCicco Family Markets

Anyone aged 62 years or older is eligible for a discount on products at DeCicco Family Markets.

The discount is only available on one specific day per week, and you must be registered and have a DeCiccio membership card. You must also provide a valid ID when making a purchase.

3. Fred meyer

After you turn 55 years old, you can get an additional 10% discount on some items in the Fred Meyer store.

Since the chain is owned by The Kroger Co., the Fred Meyer discount extends to private label brands, including Fred Meyer, Kroger, and Simple Truth. You can also save on clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, sporting goods, electronics, and even jewelry.

4. Harris teeter

Every Thursday, customers over the age of 60 receive a 5% discount on all products except gasoline, medicine, tickets and gift cards. 6. New seasons market

On Wednesdays, you can get an 10% discount on most items on the New Seasons Market. The discount is provided to customers from 65 years.

If you are an active soldier or veteran, you will also receive 10% discount on "military" Tuesdays.
