In Charlotte, protesters injured 12 police
At least 12 police officers were injured during the riots after the police killed a black man in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Protesters damaged police cars near the building where the shooting took place. One of the policemen threw a stone in his face.
20 September 43-year-old black kit Kem Lamont was wounded by a black policeman on Tuesday and died in hospital.
Police say Scott was carrying a weapon and posed an "imminent lethal threat," but relatives told local media he was holding a book, not a gun.
Outraged by the incident, people blocked the streets of the city.
According to local media, the police dispersed the demonstrators with tear gas.
Wrong suspect
Police officers who shot Scott were looking for another suspect in an apartment building, said police spokesman Keith Tritley.
They saw Scott getting out of the car with a pistol and then getting back down, he said. When the police arrived, Scott got out of the car with the weapon again and they opened fire.
Officer Brentley Vinson, who shot Scott in accordance with the rules, was taken on administrative leave.
A woman who calls herself Scott’s daughter claims that her father was unarmed and was reading a book while waiting for the school bus with his son.
According to her, before shooting at Scott, the police used a stun gun. So far, the police have not responded to these allegations.
The riots in Charlotte began a day after the Tulsa Oklahoma police officers admitted that black Terence Kratcher, shot by them on Friday, was unarmed.
In Oklahoma, hundreds of people also came out to protest at the police headquarters building.
