NYPD admit to hate their job
New York police hate their jobs and believe that the city has become more dangerous over the past two years. This follows from a survey conducted by the police union.
A quarter of New York police took part in the survey.
The results were staggering:
- 87% of police said the city has become a less secure place in the last two years;
- 96% of polled law enforcement officers noted a deterioration in relations between the police and the communities where they patrol;
- 89% of respondents expressed a desire to leave the police department if they were offered a better paying job in law enforcement;
- 86% of police said they would not recommend their profession to family members;
- The average morale of New York police is 2,49 on a scale from 1 to 10, which indicates their lack of dedication to their work.
The union said that the results of the study only confirmed their data. The management of the police in New York does not agree with the results of the survey.
The administration of the mayor of New York called the results "suspicious", noting that the crime rate in the city is the lowest for all time.
