Trump's military parade has exhausted Washington’s anti-terrorism fund
The military parade, organized by President Donald Trump in Washington, DC 4 July, exhausted the special city fund of Washington, designed to pay for additional security measures and anti-terrorism measures during major events in the capital of the country.
This is stated in the letter of the mayor of the city, addressed to the White House, writes NBC News.
Parade security costs exhausted a fund known as the Emergency Planning and Security Facility (ESPF), DC Mayor Muriel E. Bowser explained in a letter written to Trump 9 in July.
Bowser said that the amount spent by the fund to cover "your additional 4 July festive events" was 1,7 million dollars, and this amount will deplete the fund's account, so she asked Trump to help recover the costs.

“It is critical that EPSF receive full reimbursement of these funds to ensure that the District can maintain adequate security throughout the remainder of the fiscal year without compromising federal operations,” Bowser wrote in the letter, adding that “we ask for your assistance in ensuring to ensure that D.C. residents are not asked to cover millions of dollars in federal funding and can maintain our high safety standards for federal events.”
EPSF is financed by federal money intended to compensate the city for expenses incurred to ensure public safety in the event of events such as the inauguration of the president, rallies and visits by foreign officials.
A Democratic Party spokeswoman, Bowser, added that 7,3 million had previously been spent from the fund on security costs for Trump's inauguration in 2017, as well as in connection with "increased demand for enhanced security" and "some unplanned events."

The “Salute to America” military parade, which was organized by Trump in honor of US Independence Day 4 July, demonstrated American military power and drew large crowds to the National Mall.
The event featured military aircraft, helicopters, as well as tanks and other types of combat vehicles.
