In New York, detained the Russian actress

Russian actress Irina Usok was detained at Kennedy International Airport in New York on charges of “interference with child custody.”

She is in a prison facility in Ocean County, New Jersey, writes with the BBC.

“An unpleasant situation occurred related to her personal, family problem. We and the embassy have joined in to help, and we hope to receive good news. Her child is a US citizen, apparently, the situation happened because of this,” the press service of the Taganka Actors’ Theater commented on the actress’s detention.

Earlier, telegram channel Mash wrote that Usok was detained at the New York airport on suspicion of kidnapping a child, and the actress was transported to neighboring New Jersey because the case is being investigated there.

According to the channel, the detention is connected with the statement of the father of the child of the actress about the abduction. Acquaintance of Irina Usok, model and actress Zakiya Nabiyeva said that the detention of Usok is connected with the removal of her child from the country.

Irina Usok was born in 1976 in Taganrog. In 2000, she graduated from the Nemirovich-Danchenko School-Studio at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. She played in the Russian TV series “Dasha Vasilyeva - a lover of private investigation”, “Cop in Law”, “Judicial Column”, as well as the films “Mama, Don’t Cry”, “Challenge” and the film adaptation of “The Brothers Karamazov”.
