In New York, there was an action for the release of the Ukrainian director, who is in a Russian prison
Near Trump Tower in New York, there was an action for the release of the Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who is in prison in Russia.
About it on the page on a social network Facebook told the Russian member of the feminist punk group Pussy Riot, political activist Maria Alekhina.
According to her, the posters for the action were made of stapled sheets. The rally found support among Americans.
"Trump Tower After our action, the police blocked it for half an hour, but the coolest moment, of course, was the guards passing on to each other as a call sign: “Free sentsov“- text from our leaflets,” wrote Alekhina.
Recall Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov and activist Alexander Kolchenko were detained by Russian special services in the Crimea in May 2014 on charges of organizing terrorist attacks. In August, 2015, the North Caucasian District Military Court sentenced Sentsov to 20 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. Ukraine, many other countries, as well as lawyers and activists consider the accusations falsified and call Sentsov a political prisoner. Pussy Riot have previously held actions in support of the director.
