In New York, a scammer posing as an immigration lawyer

Vincent Gonzalez of the Bronx, posing as an immigration lawyer, deceived hundreds of people by offering them legal support in immigration matters.
In 2010, the court ordered the man to stop providing false immigration services, but law enforcement officers began to receive new complaints about his activities in 2015, writes NBC.
Gonzalez led an organization called God-Man Society Club Inc., on the basis of which he was misleading his clients, he also created a website Immigrationservices.namewhich openly offered legal services to immigrants.
One of his victims, Gonzalez, said he was a lawyer and could help solve immigration problems, as well as deal with the criminal case. He demanded 1500 dollars as an investigation fee, 5000 dollars a preliminary fee, another 8 000 dollars to complete a criminal case filed for fraud, and 3000 dollars for taking a client on bail if he was arrested. The victim paid Gonzalez 650 dollars, and then he doubted his competence and honesty and stopped paying, breaking the contract.
Now Gonzalez is under arrest, he faces up to seven months in prison and a fine of several thousand dollars.

The prosecutor's office stressed that employees of the prosecutor's office never ask their clients about their immigration status.
