On the night of February 6, a 42-year-old furniture assembler tried to steal Lenin's body from the Mausoleum. He was detained. Doctors have determined that the man has an alcoholic mental disorder, reports RBC.

“The incident took place on the night of February 6th. A man was detained who tried to enter the mausoleum where the body of Vladimir Lenin rests and steal it. Later it turned out that the detainee was in a state of intoxication,” said a law enforcement source.

At the police station, a 42-year-old man who works as a furniture assembler confirmed his intention to kidnap Lenin, but he was unable to explain his motives. He was called an ambulance due to inappropriate behavior.
A team of doctors revealed a psychiatric disorder on the background of intoxication. Before the arrest, the man “behaved strangely”, “said something absurd” and walked around the Mausoleum.

The press service of the FSO RBC reported that on the evening of February 5, when the Mausoleum was closed, the man tried to climb over the chain. He was detained and taken to the Kitai-Gorod police department. “He was in a state of extreme intoxication, so they called an ambulance and took him to a medical facility,” the representative of the department specified.
According to the man's relatives, on the morning of February 5, he went to a school friend in Pushkino, and at 23 p.m. he was already on Tverskaya Street, where he drank alcohol. The detainee does not remember further events.
