“Why do we want to ban travel abroad until 26? Because many people leave to work, sometimes right after school. They solve adult problems. The family has a loan, a mortgage, so they go to earn money. But at 17-18 years old they are still inexperienced and have no profession. They are easy to deceive and are often offended,” civil activist Tilek Taalaibekov explains the need for the law.

Thousands of Kyrgyz citizens today work in Italy, Korea, Germany and the United States, but the majority are in Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkey.

“This is all bad for their psyche, for their soul. They live 15 people in one apartment, all men and women together,” Taalaibekov warns migrant workers. “This is the wrong example, this is how family values ​​are lost and families break up.”

Proponents of the law say that life experience of at least a quarter of a century is at least some guarantee of safety for a woman. Like, girls who have already crossed the 25-year-old milestone are more literate, know their rights and often already have a profession.

But many girls in Kyrgyzstan categorically dislike the initiative. Among them - 25-year-old stewardess Perizat Ryspaeva. 5 years ago, she went to work in the United Arab Emirates. I spent a year in the office, but then I went up and was on board a plane of foreign airlines. Today, she puts every week on the envy of many photos or videos from a new country and has already been in more than fifty.

Marketer Bermet Koshoeva also categorically against the law. Abroad, she was still in 17 years, when she entered a Turkish university. Like many students, Bermet worked while working as a translator, as a salesman. Then there were graduate studies, studies in the profession and more than 10 years of life outside Kyrgyzstan.

“Why ban something? This is not a method of solving any problem at all, if there is a problem at all,” she says. – I lived in different countries, and eventually learned 5 languages. Lived in Turkey, Denmark, France and South Africa. I have never had such a feeling of danger, or that someone could take advantage of me!”

Political analyst Burul Osmonaliva says that solving the problems that arise among migrant women is not a matter of prohibitions, but by increasing the literacy of the women workers themselves and better protecting their rights abroad.

“And we ourselves, Kyrgyzstanis, must educate our population. So that they don’t fall for manipulation,” she insists. “And if such a law passes, it will infringe on the rights of other girls who can work normally.”

Six years ago, the Kyrgyz parliament did not support the idea of ​​banning young girls from working abroad. The reasons were also economic: the income of migrants today makes a significant contribution to the economy of Kyrgyzstan. Last year alone, more than two billion dollars were transferred to Russia from Russia. If you limit the departure of girls - these numbers will decrease significantly.
