In New York, there is a special program that allows you to rent housing below the market value of low-income residents. To do this, they can apply for participation in the housing lottery.

The residential building is located at: 105 South 5th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249. It includes the 38 available apartments. Through the lottery Housing connect available studios, one and two bedroom.

The building boasts a recreation room, laundry, security system in the entire building, covered parking for bicycles, an outdoor terrace, a backyard and parking for cars (available for a hotel fee).

To participate in the lottery, candidates must meet the requirements of the annual earnings.

If you want to qualify for a one-room apartment, your annual income should be within $ 33 806- $ 50 100, depending on whether you are single or a family of two.

Applicants for a two-room apartment should earn a year from $ 40 423 to $ 62 580.

To apply, you must:

1. Sign up for NYC Housing Connect

2. Fill in your household information

4. Track application history
   You will be contacted if your application is randomly selected during the initial lease or sale process. Please note that due to the large number of applications, it is not possible to contact every applicant for every project. If you do not want to apply online, you can submit it in paper form. An application form can be mailed to you. Go to the ad for the project you are interested in on the “Search” page. There you will learn how to get an application form by mail and where to send the completed form.

Applicants are not required to pay an application fee, but they may be charged for a credit check that is non-refundable.

You will also be contacted if your application is rejected for any of the following reasons:

1. The household does not meet the established requirements (such as income) for participation in the program in which housing was built.
2. The household received more than one application for a residential property, which led to its cancellation.
