Unemployment growth recorded in 80 regions of Russia
In the 80 regions of the Russian Federation for the period from 4 to 11 February, an increase in the number of unemployed was recorded.
According to the Ministry of Labor of Russia, unemployment grew most strongly in the Sakhalin Region, the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Republics of Karelia, Buryatia and Khakassia. In the Tyva Republic, Chechnya and the Kirov Region, as well as in the Crimea and Sevastopol, the number of unemployed during the specified period of time decreased.
In general, in the Russian Federation, the number of unemployed people registered with the employment service as of mid-February was about 939 thousand. over the week this figure rose by 1,9%.
In addition, the Ministry of Labor reported that, as of 11 February, the number of employees who were in idle time on the initiative of the administration, who worked part-time, and also those who were granted leave by agreement of the parties, amounted to 230 thousand 819 people.
