Trump offered to send congressmen with a migrant past to their home countries

US President Donald Trump was accused of racism after he posted on Twitter a message criticizing the representatives of the Democratic Party in the US Congress, writes Air force.

He noted that we were talking about women who “come from countries whose governments are in a state of complete and total disaster,” and invited them to return to restore order in these countries.

Donald Trump also added that Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi "would be happy to arrange free trips."

Such an initiative of the US President appeared a week after Mrs. Pelosi, the speaker of the House of Representatives of the Congress and also the representative of the Democratic Party, met in a verbal discussion with a group of four women Democrats with leftist views.

Three of them - Alexandria Okasio-Cortes, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Presley - were born and raised in the USA, and the fourth, Ilhan Omar, moved to the USA in childhood.

On Sunday, the US President published a series of messages on Twitter criticizing representatives of the “progressive” wing of the Democratic Party.

“It’s so interesting to see the “progressive” Democratic representatives in Congress who first came from countries whose governments are in a state of complete and total disaster, the worst, most corrupt and dysfunctional of any place in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all) ), and are now loudly and aggressively telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful country on Earth, how our government should work,” Trump wrote.

“Why don’t they come back and help rebuild these completely destroyed and crime-ridden places from which they came. Then let them come back and show us how it’s done,” the US President suggested.

“These places really need your help. You can't go fast enough. I'm sure Nancy Pelosi would be happy to quickly organize free trips!

In his reports, President Trump did not mention the names of the women democrats that were mentioned.

But Mrs. Pelosi, the media and users of social networks began to write what he meant by Ocasio-Cortes, Tlaib, Presley and Omar.

During the past week, Okasio-Cortes accused Pelosi of inflicting a different color on the speaker of the Democratic Party for criticizing the Democrats on border security law.

Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, cited Trump's tweets and called them "xenophobic."

"When Donald Trump tells four American representatives in Congress to go back to their countries, he is confirming that his 'plan to make America great again' is 'make America white again,'" she said.

“Our diversity is our strength, and our unity is our power,” Pelosi added.

Ms. Tlaib, a congressional delegate from the 13 District of Michigan, called on Twitter to impeach President Trump.

“Do you want answers to the chaos and complete bankruptcy of the president? He is a crisis. His dangerous ideology is a crisis. He needs to be removed,” she wrote.

Ms. Ocasio-Cortez responded to the president on Twitter: “In addition to not accepting the America that chose us, you cannot accept the fact that we are not afraid of you.”

Ms. Omar told the president that he was “fuelling white nationalism because you are angry that people like us are serving in Congress and fighting your hateful agenda.”

She also called him "the worst, most corrupt and dysfunctional president we've ever seen."

Ms. Presley shared a screenshot of Trump's message, adding: “This is what racism looks like. And we are what democracy looks like.”

Democrats participating in the presidential elections also condemned Trump.

Senator Elizabeth Warren said the "vile comment" was a "racist and xenophobic attack." Beto O'Rourke said: "This is racism. These representatives in Congress are Americans just like you.”

Bernie Sanders also accused Mr. Trump of racism.

Quite a few Republicans commented on the president’s message. However, Megan McCain, the daughter of the deceased Senator John McCain, a columnist and supporter of the Republican Party, called the message of the President racist.

“Even if it was only about Congresswoman Ms. Omar, it would still be racist. We don't tell the people we welcomed into this country to 'go back to their homeland,'" she said.
