A cockroach became a social media star after he sneaked onto a plane and entertained passengers in flight

A passenger named Guo was flying from Ningbo, Zhejiang, to Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China on August 16 when she saw a large live cockroach in the window next to her and filmed it, reports Insider.

Go thought the cockroach would only last "two minutes" there. She did not tell the flight attendants about the "passenger overboard".

“I didn’t expect it to still be there after flying 3000 kilometers. But I don't know if it was outside the window or in the inner layer of the window,” Guo said.

In the video taken by Guo, the cockroach can be seen bobbing up and down as the plane flies above the clouds.

An airline spokesman confirmed that the cockroach in the video was crawling between layers of window glass.

The staff said it was most likely that the cockroach was in the cargo or baggage hold of the aircraft and then climbed inside the window.

Guo said she found the cockroach "very interesting" and spent the entire flight observing the unusual passenger.

Go's video went viral on Weibo, the Chinese version of Twitter, and has been viewed more than 120 million times.
