Sofa Landver tackles repatriate problems from France

On January 12, the Minister of Aliyah and Absorption, Sofa Landver, met with representatives of public organizations and project managers for repatriates from France to discuss with them the main problems encountered in the way of French Aliyah.

“We are doing everything necessary to make it easier for returnees to find a job and speed up their professional integration in the country. This will certainly bring positive results both for the repatriates themselves and for the Israeli economy as a whole, ”Landver said during the meeting.
According to the Ministry of Absorption, in recent months the number of representatives of national organizations eligible to work abroad has been increased in France so that the information center for repatriates can provide all the necessary information 24 hourly.
On January 18, Landver will present at the government meeting amendments and proposals to the National Repatriation Encouragement Project, which was adopted in June 2014. Separate points of the National Project will touch on issues of support for Aliya from France. “In order for absorption to take place successfully, we all working in the National Project must take care of the needs of repatriates and do everything so that the new citizens of the country feel at home from the very first days in Israel,” the Minister noted.
So, among other things, Minabsorption requires the Ministry of Education to organize a special course for repatriate teachers who do not have an academic degree. This course will give teachers the opportunity to replenish their knowledge, study missing disciplines and improve their qualifications, which further equates their education with academic and will allow them to start working as primary school teachers in Israeli schools.
