Storm is approaching: schools will be closed in New York, flights are canceled at airports

A snow storm is coming on New York. Tomorrow the city administration intends to close all public schools, the TV channel nbcnewyork.com. According to journalists, in New York airports around 600 flights have already been canceled.

According to weather forecasters, it will snow in the city around February 1 at night 2. In the morning, traffic jams may form on the roads, so city authorities ask motorists to use public transport.

The air temperature will be from 0 to -2 degrees Celsius. The cyclone will leave the city only on 20 hours on Thursday. After a record high winter temperature, New York should be preparing for the heaviest snowfall this winter. The National Weather Service has issued an official storm warning warning that up to 18.00 centimeters of snow could fall in New York between midnight and 25 p.m. Thursday.

The Sanitation Department said that 2400 employees would take to the streets to fight the storm. Will be involved all the necessary snow removal equipment. Roads and pedestrian areas will be treated with special solutions and salt.

City Hall asks all residents of the city to refrain from walking around New York.
