An Uzbek pianist, Sergei Skobin, who was early recognized as a musical talent, was selected to begin his piano studies at the Assumption School of Music for Gifted Children in Tashkent. He also received his Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees from the Tashkent Conservatory of Music, where he studied with the famous pianist Alla Kim.

Sergey Skobin is an award-winning musician, noted at regional and international competitions.
