The most massive gay wedding was held in Florida

A massive gay wedding took place in Miami Beach (Fla.), In which the 101 couple took part.

The ceremony was initiated by Art Smith, known as the former personal chef of Oprah Winfrey. It is noted that Smith met his future husband in Miami in 2000, and they celebrated their wedding in 2010. The chef decided to hold a mass wedding after he learned that the ban on same-sex marriage in the state was declared unconstitutional.

During the ceremony, which took place in the courtyard of the Hotel James Royal Palm, couples showered with petals of white roses. Guy Fier was responsible for the dinner party, which hosts several cooking shows on American television channels. It is noted that guests of the event were served dishes from fried chicken, grilled lamb, crab-stuffed avocado, meat pancakes and a seven-story cake decorated with gold and silver. The musical accompaniment of the evening was engaged in popular in Miami DJ Chi Chi La Ru (Chi Chi LaRue), which is a transvestite.

In August, 2014, a federal judge, Robert Hinkle, declared the prohibition of same-sex marriage in Florida, unconstitutional. The state appealed this decision to the federal court of appeal, and it was suspended pending the resolution of the case. 6 January 2015, Judge Hinkle’s decision came into force and same-sex marriages became legal in the state. In this case, the proceedings in the appellate court continue.
